AI OVERVIEW: The Holy Spirit is given by the Father to be your helper, so you are not left alone and the Spirit will be with you forever, dwelling with you and in you. The Spirit, called paraclete, is the counselor, comforter, and advocate who mediates the truth of the gospel, magnifying Jesus and making God's presence nearer to you. The Spirit's help is often received through the church and through others, not just an inner feeling, as the community prays, lays hands, and reminds one another of God's nearness. Knowing Jesus is how you receive the Spirit, and in all circumstances the Spirit's work leads to trust, growth, and a renewed sense of God's closeness.
