AI OVERVIEW: Flee from all this and let your identity be defined by Christ in residence, so the royal standard is raised over the life rather than personal status or rebellion. Timothy should flee from greed, malice, false teaching, and divisiveness, and pursue an example of godliness—speaking, living, loving, faith, and purity—that others can follow. Spiritual progress is measured by what is left behind and what is pursued, a contrast illustrated by Joseph fleeing temptation and David lingering on the roof, showing how one runs from sin and the other tolerates it. Put to death the misdeeds of the flesh by the Spirit, for true change comes from divine enabling, not self-effort.
